As you all know, .NET Development Framework works for web based applications that in turn works on server centric computing model. This well-known platform enables programmers in building, developing and also to manage complete web solutions that are also secured. The following features and improvements were added to the common language runtime for .NET Framework 4.5.1:
Automatic binding redirection for assemblies: Starting with Visual Studio 2013 Preview if you compile an app that targets the .NET Framework 4.5.1 Preview making sure the binding redirects may be added to the app configuration file if your app or its components reference multiple versions of the same assembly. This feature can also be enabled for projects that target older versions of the .NET Framework. It lets a .NET Application Developer to collect diagnostics information which will help him improve the performance of server and cloud applications. Thanks to its ability to explicitly garbage-collect the large object heap (LOH).
The next update is its performance improvements such as faster app startup. This can be understood if you see the following improvements when debugging your .NET Framework apps in Visual Studio 2013 Preview:
Firstly, the return values in the Visual Studio debugger. Every time you wanted to debug a managed app in Visual Studio 2013 Preview it’s enough to have the Autos window displays return type and value information for methods. Now, if you wonder where will this be available? Cool. This information is available for desktop, and Windows Phone apps and its store.
Secondly, Visual Studio 2013 Preview lets you edit and Continue for 64-bit apps. This means it supports the Edit and Continue feature for 64-bit managed apps for every means say, desktop PC, Windows Store and Phone.
Last but not least, it has got a better exception handling. So, if any exceptions arise from Windows Store apps it preserves information about the error that caused the exception regardless to language boundaries.
