To the BBC Executive Complaints Unit,

Over the past months, GB2GB has submitted multiple complaints about the BBC’s political coverage — specifically the pattern of omissions, down-ranking, and regional burial of stories involving NIGEL FARAGE. These include the £4,000 video-enterprise story, the undercover donations sting, and several incidents that never received full national coverage in detail by the BBC.

The detail-light 'account' concerning the 'mob' assault on a young lady who 'heckled' Farage during his speech never made the headlines but was published in the *Birmingham & Black Country' BBC Online page - no longer available - although a story about 'Illegal goods and dog seized in high street raids' raids manages to stay on the page from 3 days PRIOR to the assault?

When it comes to propriety Farage has no perception of what it means'. Below is a summary of the 6 main political parties and Reform UK and their relationship with Legal conflict.

B. Dan Jukes (Farage’s chief of staff) appears to suggest a method to route foreign money into Reform via a UK-based son.

C. James Orr (head of policy) appears to suggest foreign donors could pay for polling to support Reform campaigns.

D. A staged scenario involved a supposed £500,000 donation routed through a UK-registered individual.

E. Donations from Fiona Cottrell: Mother of George Cottrell (long-time Farage ally)

F. Police examining whether donations made before the last election complied with UK donation laws

G. Payments involving Richard Tice’s company - Received £1m from Fiona Cottrell in June 2024.

H. Police examining whether this money was then used in a way that breached PPERA rules.

In response to one complaint, this is what the BBC Executive Complaints Unit candidly said in a statement directly to TW George (Founder of GB2GB).

Journalists are entitled to decide which stories to cover and the manner in which such stories are covered…

There is no requirement for a story about the leader of one political party to be treated in the same way as a separate story about another party leader…

BBC News does NOT have to explain or PUBLICLY justify the editorial decisions it makes.”

This is not a minor clarification. It is a formal admission that the BBC believes It does not have to treat political leaders equally. For a publicly funded broadcaster, regulated by Ofcom and bound by a Charter requiring due impartiality and transparency, this position is extraordinary and unacceptable.
