In an incident when A Mob of around 200 people created disorder at Portsmouth in an anti-migrant protest with police officers getting hurt in the course doing their duty - all because a boat of 120 migrants in a single dinghy. The first thing that came to mind from the Liberal Democrat leader was to say "The Home Office had "serious questions to answer" over the decision to bring the migrants, who had crossed the English Channel from France, to shore in the area.Instead of playing politics and to his constituents, presumably as this happened in his backyard, his first response should have been to blame the 'mob', the extreme right wing actors that gain from this behaviour, and the threat that is expanding daily on the streets of Britain.
Spencer Wragg, chair of Hampshire Police Federation, said: "I've seen footage of officers being pushed off their motorbikes, I've seen pictures of police vehicles damaged. It appears that the police last night became the target for some of the protest."
Daniel Thomas, known as Danny Tommo - an associate of far-right activist Tommy Robinson - was livestreaming from the scene - where he called for his supporters to "get down to Eastney" and stop the migrants being transported.
All anti-immigrant activists and politicians are leading the nation, assisted by a media that openly supports right wing politicians, to an extremely dangerous level of civil unrest.
And the biggest threat to this is the leader of the Reform party Nigel Farage with his words and deeds over the last 12 years fixated on an anti-immigrant agenda. In recent times it has developed into such a strong attraction by the dominant right wing media probably being made clear and obvious in March of this year.
It was also the time when the BBC showed complete allegiance with Nigel Farage, exposed by the suppression of what should have been the biggest challenge to his credibility, the infamous - but rarely spoken of - the 'Farage Video scandal' published by the Guardian and more than enough to end any politicians career - with one exception 'Nigel Farage'.
The 'shall we call it 'engagement of BBC/Farage occurred in March, the marriage happened last week when a mob of reform supporters attacked a heckler whilst Farage added mocking commentary.
Did that make headlines on any main BBC news channels including 'breaking news' TV channels - NO - apparently it may have appeared on a 'local' Birmingham & Black Country platform. This may have been similar to the Trump video story currently under threat by Donald Trump when they faked a video - who knows?
Either way, Farage has certainly avoided the type of coverage by the BBC so forensically examined on Sir Keir Starmer over his 2 year tenure, here are 2 perfect examples of that 'biased' selection of BBC coverage:
1/. The 'Farage Video' escaped the scrutiny required on such a prominent politician with such a toxic story - especially in view of the fact that story was withheld just before an important large election of 5000 councilors across the country. The damage that would have almost certainly had on voters' choices could be immense had voters known about what he had said on many of his grossly offensive paid-for videos.
2/. The 'Mob Assault' equally escaped the same level of scrutiny - exaggerated by his clear and obvious joy at what he watched and commented on.
Protection for such a 'toxic' politician by the BBC is not subtle, it is not showing the impartiality that their Royal Charter demands, it is a betrayal to, and not acceptable by the public who funds them?
