Eidos, the wheelchair (DDA) touchscreen kiosk has been given a new design option with new taller version. Many customers like the design of the Eidos kiosk but not all applications require wheelchair accessibility as services may be offered in alternative ways. The new taller Eidos has been designed to enable these customers to still enjoy the same style of machine but with a raised screen height. The taller version of Eidos comes with all of the features and options of the existing design. Screen sizes include the standard 19in (1280 x 1024 pixels resolution) or wide screen 22in displays. Features such as the integrated white LED edge lighting around the display further enhance the design. Multi-touch is also standard on Eidos which will work with Windows 7 and the new Window 8 operating system when it is released.
Eidos is equally at home whether used in reception areas for virtual reception duties, providing touch screen surveys or working hard in an industrial setting. The kiosk can be bolted down the floor if required and all cables can be hidden from view.
EIdos is powered by the latest Intel (industrial versions) computers with Atom, Core2Duo and other options available to suit your application. The kiosk is designed to automatically switch itself on and off each day and the industrial design provides low power operation (similar to a laptop). Additional software can be included to ‘lock-down’ the operating system and limit web browsing to specific websites.
Just like the DDA version, the new taller version of Eidos has many options already designed-in. Our customers can select retail models with integrated chip & pin, receipt printer and bar code scanner. Other options include RFID, magnetic card readers, VOIP telephone handset and much more.
Eidos can include your branding on the front face and the taller version gives an additional 250mm of branding space.
