When a young lady gets assaulted by a 'mob' of Reform 'loyalists' publicly attacking her - egged on by a smiling Nigel Farage who treats as 'amusing' - and it does not make headlines on all BBC news platforms or makes page one on ALL national newspapers - who concentrate on Farage's announcements of 'policies' it is surely time for the government to raise the issue of multi-billionaire owned right wing media and TV political news domination being detrimental to the interests of the citizens they are supposed to protect without compromise - by changing the accepted 'Freedom Of The Press' to a 'regulated one.GB2GB have been challenging almost daily the BBC lack of application of their dutiful requirement of 'due impartiality' with 50 unanswered Formal Complaints escalated to RCU level and over 10 Formal Complaints completely ignored - a sure sign of betrayal to the public who fund them.

BBC FORMAL COMPLAINT SUBMITTED:
I am raising a concern about the BBC’s reporting of the incident during Nigel Farage’s Reform UK conference speech on 4 September, on the BBC News Live Page.
The BBC described the incident only as “interruptions from hecklers”, “some of them being removed by security”, and “one woman pictured lying on the floor”. This significantly understates what was visible in the widely-shared footage, which showed an aggressive physical assault involving multiple people attacking a young woman.
The BBC also omitted Nigel Farage’s real-time commentary whilst smiling made during the incident:
“That Poor Young Girl — She Looked Like She Was Going To Do Herself An Injury, Didn’t She.””,
“I Know What We Say About People Like That”............. “Boring, Boring, Boring”).
These remarks are relevant to understanding the seriousness of what occurred and then totally dismissed.
Key details were omitted, including:
– the number of people involved
– the physical nature of the assault
– the crowd surge and escalation
– Farage’s real-time reaction
– the seriousness of the incident inside the hall
The BBC’s framing presented the event as a minor interruption, despite the footage showing a more serious physical confrontation. I request that the BBC review the accuracy and completeness of the 4 September Live Page entry, explain the omissions, and confirm whether the record will be updated.
