failures of governance, failures of delivery, failures of stewardship, failures that created today’s crisis.

This is a classic BBC editorial pattern: describe events, avoid conclusions.

Given their record, the logical question is: Do the Conservatives have the credibility to dictate terms in 2026?

The BBC does not ask it, It does not even hint at it. Instead, it presents Burnham’s cross-party talks as if all parties have equal standing.

The BBC’s editorial stance effectively creates a blanket embargo on:
