For their annual year-end rankings, the World Teleport Association once again recognized the independent satellite communications company from Australia, NewSat Ltd. The Melbourne-based company which operates world-class facilities in Adelaide and Perth, was listed in the Independent Top Twenty of 2012 list, which ranks teleport operators based on revenues from all sources. NewSat Ltd was listed at number 10. According to WTA, excluded in the list were companies which operate or own terrestrial networks and satellite fleets as their primary business.NewSat Ltd also made the Top 5 of the Fast Twenty list which ranks teleport companies based on year-on-year revenue growth in the recent financial years. The annual Top Operator rankings by the WTA surveys teleport operators around the world based on their services, facilities, and business results. Last year, NewSat Ltd’s CEO and Founder Adrian Ballintine was honored by the organization as the Teleport Executive this year. Earlier this year, NewSat’s Adelaide and Perth teleport facilities were included in top 3 Finalist in the Independent Teleport of the Year category during the World Teleport Association’s Awards for Excellence held during the SATELLITE Conference and Exhibition in Washington DC.
