Washington, D.C. — Music For Water welcomes guest judges (Sunny Singh and Shaun Barrowes) and returning judges (Janol Mecca Holmes, Paolo Montagni, and Aaron Heimes). Open submissions for Music For Water launched July 1st, 2021, through August 31st, 2021. All contestants will have their songs voted by all Music For Water judges before the Music For Water Awards on October 16th, 2021. The featured guest judges’ partner in combating the resource insecurity for those dwelling on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California. Each guest judge presents a track record of expertise in the entertainment business to support all candidates. Janol “Mecca” Holmes returns to the Music For Water as a judge with an extensive background in music and radio. The co-founder of Supernatural Inc. and the affiliation of Chuck D (Public Enemy/Prophets of Rage) has supported the campaign since the campaign's induction. Also returning is Paolo, the owner of Grand Mountain International Records (also known as G.M.I.R.) in Germany. Montagni’s label will gift a 1-year distribution deal for the top 3 campaign winners. Aaron Heimes is also returning judge for the second year of service through the Music For Water campaign. Heimes is a professional media network owner of e360tv in the United States. In addition, his company will be sponsoring the live stream of the Music For Water gala on October 16th, 2021.
Sunny Singh hails from Canada as one of the newest members of the panel of judges. Sunny is a professional actor and Mayoral candidate. Singh will be partnering with the foundation from the United Kingdom as he films in upcoming features this Summer. Shaun Barrowes accompanies Music For Water on the panel roster. The “If you save me” singer-songwriter has endorsed the campaign's efforts and will serve as well. Lastly, Dan Lapray from Moving Picture Media Group is a final incoming judge to assist with the voting submission process. Lapray’s thriving career in the music industry as a producer will help to empower the Music For Water competition.
