Daily Express Standards Finally Explode With The Most Embarrassing Hypocritical Front Page Headline.
If there were ever an example of hypocrisy from a national newspaper - this must be it. Headline, Content, Humiliation of Conservative 'Leader' Badenoch, 'Kemi' relegated to small weak article on page 11 - next to three-quarter page Farage article.

DAILY EXPRESS DISTORTION
BriefingWire.com, 8/24/2026 - Daily Express Front Page Headline reads:

*LET'S TALK ABOUT ASSISTED-DYING BILL, MR BURNHAM...WHILE I STILL CAN*

OH DEAR:

In an extremely embarrassing and poorly thought out *EXCLUSIVE* article with the Express's Health Editor Hanna Geissler urging “Mr Andy Burnham” to finally deliver assisted-dying reform. She wrapped a deeply moving human story inside a politically selective frame — one that erased the real reason the bill actually failed.

The Express claimed the legislation simply “ran out of time”, implying Labour failed to prioritise it. But nowhere on the front page, nor across the two full pages that followed, did the paper acknowledge the documented truth: the bill collapsed because Conservative peers aligned with Kemi Badenoch tabled over 1,000 amendments to deliberately run down the clock.

*BY DOING SO SHE DECEIVED THE NAMED PERSON BY NOT TELLING HIM THE TRUTH*

The Express positioned Labour as the obstacle, Burnham as the bottleneck, and parliamentary time as the villain. It leaned heavily on the emotional weight of one citizen’s heartfelt plea — a man asking for dignity, autonomy, and compassion at the end of his life. His words deserved respect. Instead, they were used as a political football to pressure Labour while shielding the party that actually blocked the bill.

The public overwhelmingly supported the bill. Polling shows consistent majorities across age, region, and political identity. Yet when the bill finally reached the Lords, it was Badenoch’s own Conservative peers who buried it under a mountain of amendments designed not to improve the legislation, but to talk it down. That is the parliamentary record. That is the truth the Express refused to print.

The hypocrisy is stark. An extreme right wing newspaper that claims to champion “ordinary citizens” could not bring itself to name the political actors who denied those citizens the very choice the paper pretended to advocate. Instead, it manufactured a narrative in which Labour “ran out of time” — as though time were an accident, not a weapon deliberately deployed.

*IN ONE SINGLE ARTICLE, THE EXPRESS SHOWED ITSELF TO ONLY SERVE RIGHT WING MEDIA*

1/. The Daily Express AND Kemi Badenoch now owes two public apologies, starting with a profound apology to an innocent man who got mentally abused by the Daily Express using his tragic circumstances to further there historical hatred of all things politically left wing - and in doing so added to his pain - which was caused by Badenoch's own peers in the House of Lords months ago.

*HE DESERVED HONESTY - BUT INSTEAD HE ONLY RECEIVED POLITICAL MANIPULATION*

2/. A formal apology to the Prime Minister, who was falsely framed as responsible for a failure engineered by Conservative peers. The Express’s omission also distorted accountability and misled its readers.

If the Express were serious about truth, its headline would not have been a plea to Andy Burnham. It would have been a challenge to the minister whose allies sabotaged the bill with the headline:

“NOW, LET’S TALK ABOUT ASSISTED-DYING, MS KEMI BADENOCH — WHILE I STILL CAN”

Supporting a weak ineffective Conservative leader 'at any expense' is not noble and does nothing to further the Conservative ambition to ever gain power again.

It can only be hoped that the Daily Express editor and the Health Editor are never allowed to deliberately present misleading news to the British public - who are after all their the people have pretended to serve for the last 90 plus years - ever again.

Only Time Will Tell If They Do - Or Continue With Deceit?
