Both coasts collaborated at Pizza Expo 2014 when Head Chef Brad Kent from Blaze Pizza in Los Angeles manned the Revolving oven built by the New York Brick Oven Co. during Pizza Expo 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center to set a new world record of 201 pies in 52 minutes and thirty seconds from a brick oven. The crew from Goodfella's Pizza School New York was stretching dough and topping the pizza's under the direction of Head Instructor and World Champion Pizza Maker Andrew Scudera as Brad Kent worked the revolving oven. " It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, and we could have easily topped 250 pies in the hour if the pie men weren't taking union breaks in the middle of the demo " laughed Brad as pie number 201 came out of the revolving brick oven for cutting and handed to the hungry crowd. Pizza men and women from all over the world stood in awe at the spectacle and speed of the demonstration as they happily ate the fresh hot pizza.
