The Miami Arts & Entertainment Council Presents its Second Annual Paint Me Miami Art Competition
The City of Miami Arts & Entertainment Council presents its second annual art competition Paint Me Miami and invites talented Miami artists to get inspired by the Miami urban scenes and landscapes.

BriefingWire.com, 3/07/2012 - MIAMI – March 7, 2012 – The City of Miami Arts & Entertainment Council presents its second annual art competition “Paint Me Miami” and invites talented Miami artists, from art students, up and coming artists to art aficionados, to get inspired by the Miami urban scenes and landscapes.

All paintings must be inspired by a location identified within the City of Miami boundaries (see map on www.paintmemiami.com). The size of paintings must be no larger than 30”×40”; oil, pastel, acrylics, water colors or mixed media work is acceptable. The entry fee is $20 and a maximum of three entries per artist is permitted. The deadline for submission is March 30, 2012.

Jurors of “Paint Me Miami” consist of master painters, David Chang, Julio Larraz and Cesar Santos. Winners will be announced during the exhibition and cocktail reception on April 26, 2012. Fifteen winners will bring their selected art work museum framed and ready for exhibition.

The first prize winner will receive $2,500 and an award certificate; second prize winner will receive $1,000 and an award certificate; third prize winner will receive $500 and an award certificate. Twelve runner-up finalists will receive award certificates. There is also a separate category for participants under 17 (no entry fee required). Winner in this category will receive a $500 gift certificate and an award certificate.

The Miami Art and Entertainment Council serves in an advisory capacity and makes recommendations to the city regarding endorsements and support of specific Miami art and entertainment special events, performances and productions.
