Parents know it’s not abnormal to have a child who isn’t exactly thrilled to go to school. It can be a chore to get them to get out of bed and get ready when they don’t want to go to class. There are some ways to alter that mindset and make the idea of going to school and learning a fun one! Try going back to school shopping with them. Many children love picking out school supplies and even fruit and snacks for lunches. Once school has started, encourage friend-making and be active in creating play dates for your child. When they have a friend they look forward to seeing in class, they are thrilled to go to school! Lastly, encourage reading. Reading outside of the classroom will teach your child to appreciate and crave learning.
