Whitfield portrays Dr. McPhail, a Clinical Psychiatrist who treats one of the characters in ‘Reckless’, a controversial film that exposes scenarios surrounding the HIV epidemic. “When I learned that the HIV epidemic for black women in Atlanta was compared to a Third-World country, I felt an obligation to be a part of this story” Whitfield told Studio 11 Films’ publicist, Deborah Champagne. When asked if she will now get more involved in acting, Whitfield responded, “Yes, I do want to act, but I also want to experience being behind the cameras too; Hopefully, Studio 11 Films can provide that opportunity also.”

Written by child star Kiami Davael (young Lavender of the 1996 film Matilda), ‘Reckless’ is brought to life by Glenda Giles (director), Leslie Day (producer) and Christopher B. Pearman, (father of child star Raven-Symone) who serves as the film team’s celebrity mentor.

‘Reckless’ will engage its viewers and provoke a consciousness that can change the way people perceive inappropriate behavior.
