Brighton, UK – With the new Building Information Modelling (BIM) regulations in place, any company not using a construction project management software programme will find itself at a disadvantage. At the same time, spending money on a software suite that fails to be as useful as it should be is also something that needs to be avoided. The co-founder of BuilderStorm construction project management software, Mr James Sandwick, highly recommends getting a free trial first. "If a company has faith in its product, it will let you try it out for free", he says. "We at BuilderStorm are sure that once you have used our product for any amount of time, you will not want to use any other."
Mr Sandwick explains the way the free trial works. "Our pricing system is very transparent. You can see exactly how much each package costs and what features you get with it. When we say we offer a free trial, it means exactly that. There are no hidden costs or charges to take you by surprise."
The trial period offered by BuilderStorm is 30 days. All features are available to trial, and can be fully accessed following a live online demo with a member of their team.
"We are very honest with what we are offering with a free trial", says Mr Sandwick. "A company can use our product free for 30 days." He goes on to say, "If they like it, they can buy a package or request a bespoke package with only the features they need."
The prices of the bespoke packages are quite competitive, Mr Sandwick explains. "You only pay for what you use. We are not a company that will ask for your annual turnover before we give you a quote. Our prices are based on what we offer, not on what we can get out of you."
BuilderStorm does come with very useful features. Its other co-founder, Mr David Lawrence, has been in the construction industry for many years. He has a deep understanding of what building companies require in a project management tool.
The software can be used to create and store every kind of document that might be used in the construction industry. Depending on the package, considerable cloud storage space is available so that the documents are accessible from anywhere.
There is an inbuilt emailing facility that allows users to send emails from within the software. The reminder feature can also be used to send an email to remind the participants of an upcoming deadline or meeting. It is even possible to set up project emails to collects all correspondence from each project.
Sending out requests for information (RFIs), which are an important part of the functioning of the industry, becomes much easier with BuilderStorm. The standardised format makes it easier for different companies to respond to them.
Construction accounting, allocations, procurements, and deliveries are just some of the tasks that can be 'handed over' to the BuilderStorm software. "We will also add any additional features your company may require if you want a bespoke package", says Mr Sandwick. The addition may even be free of charge if it is a feature that benefits the whole industry.
In addition to the free trial, BuilderStorm also offers in-house training. While this is free for companies that have bought a license for longer than three years, buying training hours is priced just as competitively as the rest of the software. It can even be set up when and where the users want.
